The Central Office of Information (COI) is the Government's centre of excellence for marketing and communications. COI works with government departments and agencies to produce information campaigns on issues that affect the lives of every citizen - from health and education to benefits, rights and welfare. As such the role is multi-faceted and will offer the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects with a diverse set of needs.

We need a highly effective communicator, negotiator and presenter to build positive working relationships with existing and potential clients, understand their needs and ensure they are aware of Digital Media’s services. You will develop client briefs, translate them into costed proposals and provide strategic advice and guidance. Once projects are scoped and defined you will then manage the whole process from procurement through to delivery.

The following skills are deemed essential to the role:

- An appreciation of digital media landscape and role of digital media in overall marketing mix including campaign delivery
- Structured project management skills.
- Strong budgeting and financial management skills
- Proven ability to deliver digital projects on time, on budget and to client’s satisfaction
- Strong attention to detail without losing sight of the bigger picture.
- Strong interpersonal skills including negotiation, influencing and mediation
- Strong team player: collaborative, adaptable, willing to share skills and experience
- Client management / relationship management experience: ability to build relationships and grow business; managing clients day to day and resolving issues
- Consultancy and requirements definition skills to capture stakeholder and end-user requirements and develop briefs and RFPs (Request for Proposal)
- Articulate and able to write and present well for different audiences.

To succeed you will need a proven track record in business development, client service and supplier management, strong project management skills and a good knowledge of the COI and digital media procedures and processes. A thorough understanding of the Government e-communications agenda, digital media project lifecycles and strategic marketing communications will be vital.

If you’re enthusiastic, determined and resourceful self-starter combining initiative with sound judgement, we can offer excellent rewards including a wide range of benefits.
