Our client is a world famous publishing house, in need of an enthusiastic, passionate, self motivated and talented web designer to make their small team complete - is that you?
Working closely with the Design Manager, you will be responsible for generating ideas, designing, developing, maintaining and updating the website, associated sites and minisites, as well as creating other online marketing assets.
You will be able to create compelling and engaging designs from initial ideas through to publication using PhotoShop, full CSS HTML displays, and Flash, as well as devising and implementing new features and functionality; you will be part of the development and maintenance of the brand(s) within the context of the digital world.
The perfect candidate will have a degree or equivalent in new media design, with a strong sense of design and visual layout. They should be able to demonstrate knowledge of page and information design, together with proven understanding of usability and accessibility. An understanding of emerging technologies is also a bonus. The ideal candidate will be very creative, results orientated, not afraid to stretch his or her self, have meticulous attention to detail and understand the attractions of a publisher’s website for other book lovers.
Applicants should to be able to hand code HTML without the use of WYSIWYG editors. Demonstrate competent knowledge of PhotoShop, Flash, Fireworks, JavaScript and provide 3 URLs showcasing your CSS HTML skills and design flair.
