We’re looking for an experienced New Media Designer to work within the Communications Team who will be responsible for the ongoing development of the council’s new media channels.

You will need to have a high level of web design and graphic skills and knowledge of working with a content management system. You will be responsible for the “look & feel” of the website and must take account of the impact of design on site performance.

We’re looking for:
• Someone with a natural flair for creative design as well as a strong and demonstrable knowledge of web design using Adobe Photoshop, Fireworks, Dreamweaver and Flash.
• Someone who is up to date with the latest developments and proactively pursues new technologies and design tools, with a strong portfolio.
• Someone who can find creative solutions that will not compromise site performance, WAI and W3C accessibility standards or our customer service objectives.
