Group Account Director - £55-65K – Financial Services - London


Our client is a major network agency with offices worldwide, specialising in strategy, direct marketing digital marketing data & analytics and promotional. They operate in an increasing number of sectors: financial services, drinks, telecoms and retail.

The vibe of the agency is great: the management team command great respect through their laid back approach to developing world class, award winning campaigns. There is a strong sense of community and the Group Account Director will need to continue these inter-departmental links.

The role:

This is a leadership role: the Group Account Director will be expected to take overall responsibility for managing a client facing team and a group of accounts profitably. The role requires:

• Building client loyalty
• Understanding Client’s Business
• Strategic Development
• Ensure consistently high quality of work from the account team and should be effective in managing and deploying resources within the team and across the agency.
• Responsible for interviewing and resourcing team appropriately – mindful of staff to revenue ratio and ratio of account handlers to PM’s.

The Candidate:

• Commercial skills and business development.
• Financial Services experience and digital knowledge are essential.
• Demonstrates sophisticated and empathetic communication skills
• Displays integrity – Follows through on promises and requests. Treats others with respect.
• Work closely with New Business to maximise all relevant opportunities and where appropriate play an integral role on new business pitches.

The key client is doing very well and looking very profitable: there may be other lines of business which will eventually end up in the group.

Salary: £55-65K + benefits: good holiday, phone etc.
