The Client:My client is an award-winning digital advertising agency based just outside Dublin City Centre. Part of the work of the agency includes the creation of web-based systems from inception to delivery.All aspects of system production are catered for, and there is a very wide range of work; from Government sites to mini-sites for specific campaigns.

Job Description:The Tech Director is a leader who demonstrates exceptional technical, managerial and business development capabilities across a range of industries, roles and situations. Will be responsible for leading strategy, contributing to the creative direction and determining top tier solutions for their clients' marketing communications and web development projects.The successfull candidate will lead a team of developers (Flash, HTML, JavaScript, Java Enterprise, .NET) and determine staffing for projects while providing overall department management.

Responsibilities:Ensure timely and quality delivery of web dev projects working closely with dedicated QA team.Architect higher complexity software solutions and assemble teams for implementation.Research advanced topics related to web dev technology and trends and mentor team members.Accurately scope and maintain budgets and resources on complex and multi-faceted tech projects.Ensure proper allocation of resources to projects and provide full-cycle project oversight.Act as the primary point of contact for all queries regarding the knowledge domain and associated vendors and products.Build and nurture long-term client relationships reinforcing a sense of accountability and responsibility for delivering the highest quality and value to clients.Participate in business development and sales engagements as tech expert.Review and approve tech solutions presented to clients.Recruit and hire qualified staff members and contractors as needed.Provide performance feedback to team to establish and achieve career goals; determine, select and approve appropriate training to accomplish personal and professional growth.Serve as a member of the agency management team.

Requirements:BSC/BS/BA in Computer Science.Minimum 6-8 years proessional experience with at least 2 of those years in a lead technical management role.Combination of interactive agency and/or software development experience.Previous experience as a web developer with exposure to a variety or technology packages including those encompassing emerging media (mobile, social, networking, collaboration, etc.)Significant experience in effectively matching internet technologies to business needs.Solid understanding of software engineering design methodologies and internet technologies.Savvy client management skills with the ability to effectively present virtually and in-person.Stong people and project management skills with the natural ability to effectively multi-task.Superior communication skills with sound judgment and decision-making abilities.Ability to promote and represent my client in a professional manner and demonstrate value-added service to client and the community.A passion for all things technical.
