My client is one of the UK's leading independent travel organisations boasting over 30 years of tremendous growth, success and award winning services.



Their success is down to their ability to harness the massive move towards online within the travel industry; they now plan to strengthen their e-commerce team by bringing in a central figure to head up the newly formed content team.



Job Purpose:



To own responsibility for all content across a portfolio of travel websites. To manage the content team to both deliver effective day to day content that supports business strategy as well as to drive the strategic development of site content and functionality going forward.



Main Duties:



*Overall responsibility for the effective delivery of all web content in the form of promotional or tactical offers across all online channels

*Responsible for the increase in customer satisfaction with the sites - measured as part of overall brand satisfaction

*To develop and implement overall usability, accessibility and functionality of the sites from a content perspective

*To ensure consistent design and navigation across all site developments

*To help reduce the site bounce rate with the production and development of targeted content for inbound traffic from a variety of sources including, but not limited to PPC, SEO, E-Mail Marketing and Affiliates

*To drive web content to ensure site is consistent with Marketing plans, customer expectations and is fit for purpose

*To manage key relationships and liaise with colleagues, customers, external partners and contractors

*To liaise with the technical team including developers and database administrators to help scope out technical requirements as part of ongoing content development process

*Employ and cascade down to content team an analytical, commercial awareness and understanding across all activity

*To manage a content team of 5













Qualities Required:



*Excellent Microsoft Office skills including Outlook

*Experience in website content management is essential

*Experience within the travel sector is desirable

*Strong analytical skills are essential

*Software experience in Dreamweaver and Photoshop is desirable

*Experience of managing a team is essential

*Strong commercial and analytics outlook is essential

*Ability to combine the development of strategic plans as well as overseeing the day to day
