Pocket Marketing

Founded by Digital marketing pioneer, Richard Collins, Pocket Marketing was established to help companies navigate the Appstoremarket place, following the experience of launching a recruitment App by one of Richard’s companies (www.r21education.com).


Richard first started in digital marketing following a stint running a highly successful dot com business back in 1995, after which he set up one of the UK’s first digital media and search marketing agencies (which amongst other accolades was Google’s first European agency client). He sold the business to Global marketing giant WPP, and went on to run OgilvyOne and Mindshares’ digital media businesses in the UK, working with some of the leading global brands.

Pocket Marketing is a return to those new media roots and Richard and his team are very excited to be involved in such a dynamic and fast moving industry. They are passionate about App marketing, strive to exceed their clients’ expectations, and are focused on getting results. The fact that they are now allowed to buy cool gadgets all the time, also makes them very happy!

By using our specialist knowledge of the plethora of App stores available (currently over 100 and growing), we ensure that clients Apps have been successfully submitted across all relevant App stores.

App Launcher

Is designed to boost your App up the App store charts and maximise your downloads, which in turn generates self sustaining sales momentum.

The App launcher has four increasing levels of promotion, the choice of which depends on the App, category, platform and store. The top level includes:

  • Submission to over 100 App review sites
  • Sending out to a community of 1.6 million+ App users
  • An additional guaranteed minimum of 3,000 downloads
  • A targeted SMS campaign
  • An in-App advertising campaign to generate an additional 15,000 clicks

Bespoke campaigns can also be developed to achieve agreed objectives.

Consultancy Services

Finally we also offer help and advice on in-store App marketing, as well as a full implementation service which utilises every guerrilla tactic and cost effective marketing and advertising tool that we can find. Including:

  • From £200-£10,000 depending on the number of stores submitted to.

App Launcher

  • Starting at £4,000 and gradually increasing for each level.


Consultancy and Ongoing Support

  • Tailored to each individual client, dependent on their needs and the scope of the project.


Developer Partnerships

  • When we partner with App developers, we typically work on a revenue split or cost per download basis for free apps.
