Search marketing agency Efficient Frontier has appointed Mark Nall as business development director. He’ll be responsible for the agency’s new auction-based channels, along with launching its display offering in the UK and across Europe. Nall was previously commercial director at cross-media ad platform provider Magicalia, prior to which he was CEO of search engine Everyclick. He has also held senior positions at ad network Ad Pepper Media and search engine Alta Vista.

B2B video syndication company Myvideorights has appointed Ben Lister as head of business development. He was business development manager at Channel 4.

Digital recruiter Guru has hired John Cook and Robert Baughan as client account manager and business development manager respectively. Cook held the same position at recruitment agency Networkers International. Baughan was digital media sales consultant at multimedia company the KM Group.

Global insight specialist Nunwood has appointed Frank Hedler as European analytics director as it looks to strengthen its analytics strategy. He joins from market research firm MarketTools where he was a senior consultant of advanced analytics.

Expert system integrations and ecommerce technology consultancy Professional Access has recruited Shareen Campbell as director of sales for Europe and Andrew Hackett as director of services and pre-sales engineering. Campbell was sales director at social commerce company Bazaarvoice. Hackett was director of professional services for cross-channel commerce software and services provider ATG.

Creative digital agency Pod1 has appointed Kieran Clinton-Tarestad as ecommerce strategist. He joins from etailer I Want One Of Those where he was director of finance.

Content distributor Goviral has appointed Fiona Smith, former client servicing manager at media agency i-level, as account director and Rebecca Owen as account executive. Owen was previously at sales enhancement organisation Pareto Law where she was a business development executive.

Creative agency AKQA has hired Rachel Lawlan as planning director. She was previously a planning consultant at ad agency Dye Holloway Murray.

Social CRM agency Neoco has appointed Nigel Carlos as social media manager. He was previously group PR manager at restaurant and bar operator The Breakfast Group.

Creative digital agency Ioko has appointed Chris Gannon as art director. He joins from digital consultancy EMC Conchango where he was senior designer.

Integrated marketing agency Amaze has hired Hannah Franklin as head of display. She was previously display ad manager at digital marketing agency Latitude.
