Performance marketing agency Artemis8 has appointed Wulfric Light-Wilkinson as business development director. He’ll lead the sales team in search, social media and affiliate management, reporting to MD Tina Judic. Light-Wilkinson was previously business development manager at digital marketing agency TradeDoubler, where he was responsible for generating new business revenue for the direct sales team across paid and natural search.

Gekko, an online shopping assistant for hotels, has hired Alex Cheeseman as commercial director. He was previously business development manager for Lonely Planet.

Shopping comparison site Kelkoo has hired Chris Simpson as European marketing director as the company looks to regenerate the brand. He was previously head of marketing at Glasses Direct. Ecommerce and multi-channel retail services provider GSI Commerce has appointed Derrick Houghton as director of fulfilment. He was previously head of ecommerce and reverse logistics development for transport and logistics Norbert-Dentressangle.

Digital agency Collective has made three new appointments. Nicole Mackintosh, a freelance digital account director at marketing agency Carlson Marketing, joins as account director.

Jonny Burch has been hired as a designer and James Gorrie as senior developer. Birch was previously a designer at Merrell Publishers and Gorrie was at digital agency Elvis Communications where he was lead developer.

Digital recruitment agency Propel London has hired Matthew Hawkes as mobile recruitment consultant. He joins from Datascope Recruitment, where he was senior consultant for mobile technology.

BT Retail has appointed director of customer insight and intelligence David James to marketing director of the Consumer team. His current role won’t be refilled and he will lead both teams.

Bookmaker William Hill Online has appointed James Mullen as COO. He joins from News International where he was product management director.

Usability consultancy Bunnyfoot has hired Clare Barnett as user experience consultant. She joins from rival User Vision.

Digital agency CMW has recruited Rod Jones as group account director and Frank Duck as senior data planner. Jones joins from marketing agency Twentysix where he was client services director while Duck was head of data strategy at Arc Worldwide.
