Full-service agency RAPP has taken on Steve Furminger as chief technical officer for its UK division. He will be responsible for developing and implementing RAPP UK’s technology strategy, which will involve driving innovation across mobile and social media. He was previously at marketing services company Carlson Marketing as digital consultant, before which he was interim head of digital at digital agency Grand Union. Furminger has also been head of digital at Bluhalo and head of development at production company Endemol.

Video ad network Videoegg has appointed Martin Weller, Ian Harman and Lawrence Horne as strategic sales managers. Weller joins from AOL where he was senior business development manager, Harman was group head of agency sales at Platform-A, and Horne was head of online sales at Trinity Mirror Group. Michael Edwards also joins as UK business development manager, and Leyla Kemal has been hired as account manager. Edwards was publisher services manager at .Fox Networks and Kemal was an account manager at AOL.

Digital agency Fast Web has promoted Iain Jewitt to be its first director of technology. He was previously head of technology.

Design agency Corporation Pop has recruited Mark Curtis as head of digital. He was project leader at production company The Gate Films.

KEO Films’ digital arm KEO Digital has made three appointments who will be responsible for its Landshareproject. Rebecca Thompson joins as site producer, while Lucy Conway and Heidi Proven have been hired as community managers. Thompson was a director at digital production company Hot Tap Media, Conway was a freelance arts and creative project manager, and Proven joins from social network Central Station where she was community manager.

Digital marketing agency iCrossing has appointed Michael Maslona as director of new business. He was previously at digital marketing agency Latitude where he was business development manager.

Creative communications agency Aqueduct has appointed Robert Quantrell as digital project manager. He was previously a project manager at digital design and animation agency Nikid Design.

Digital marketing accountability company Invizua has appointed Toye Apampa as data integration and visualisation manager. She joins from AKQA where she was measurement and evaluation analyst.

Publisher The National Magazine Company has hired Rebecca Holman as editor of fashion and lifestyle website Handbag. She was previously editor of ASOS magazine.
