Letters: There's a whole world of customers out there
Ad networks are the bridge between advertisers and publishers, but most tend to deal only with publishers in their home country or whose sites end with their country domain. As our world becomes more internationalised, there are more and more .com customers to be found in the traditionally .co arena.
A handful of companies have taken up the task of bringing international advertisers to North American publishers. A decade of experience in this field has proven to us that there's a lot of money to be made by advertising online to a global audience. But even more is being lost on the part of advertisers that don't take advantage of services that let them target potential regional customers and publishers. Our tip to advertisers and publishers can be summed up as: snooze locally and you lose globally.
