Social media will be key channel for charities
Jon Dytor, account manager, Chameleon Net
Your Vertical Focus about the charities sector (nma 24 September 2009) was an informative article about fundraising through social media. I work for a web agency that specialises in the charities sector and this is something we’ve been saying to our clients for a long time now.
The link between social media and fundraising is still new territory for many organisations and, as Oxfam said in the article, it’s taking time for those returns to be seen. However, I think if more organisations devote time and resources to social media, they’ll see a vast return on their investment, just not necessarily straight away.
